I am an unlikely writer. When I was five, the teacher read part of a story to the class and asked us to continue it. At that age, the pull of playing in the new Wendy House was greater than writing and so I put, “The cat is dead. The end.” I’m pleased to say that my stories are longer and more involved these days.

As an experienced Primary School teacher, I began writing as a way of inspiring a particular pupil to read. I became hooked and writing is now part of my daily life. Luckily, I work part-time to enable me to write.

I am a wife and mother. My two adult children inspire me everyday. I am an avid reader. I love pottering in the garden with my cat.
